Not only foreign people travel. Actually Spanish people
do most of their traveling within Spain. Spanish people love vacationing
in the regions of Andalusia (Malaga, Almeria, Seville, Cordoba, Granada),
Catalonia (Barcelona, Tarragona, Gerona…) and the Valencian Community
(Valencia, Alicante, Benidorm, Torrevieja…) They usually choose to spend
their vacations in places with beaches or at least close enough to the
beach. They are also attracted, as all tourists, by monuments and historic
towns. |

DON'T
MISS THEM!!
Everybody should travel and see the beautiful Alhambra in
Granada, the elegant Mesquite in Cordoba,
the amazing city of Seville, the gorgeous white
towns in Malaga, the impressive cathedral "Sagrada
Familia" in Barcelona and the rest of Gaudi's
Architecture, the huge and super interesting museums
in Madrid (El Prado, Reina Sofia, Thyssen-Bornemisza), of
course, without forgetting to visit Madrid's historic landmarks
like the Royal Palace, the Cathedral and the Monastery of
Escorial. Also, plan a vacation to see the astonishing gothic
cathedrals in Castile (Burgos, Leon, Segovia) and the one
in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia), the castle
ruins in Avila, the terrific Guggenheim museum
of modern art in Bilbao, the majestic city of
San Sebastian, the stunning landscapes in Asturias
and Galicia, etc. There are certainly many, many other landmarks
in Spain, those are just a few.
Spain is a big country so when you plan your Spanish vacation you should
decide whether you would like to just travel to a region and enjoy your
time there visiting all the beautiful things that the place has to offer,
enjoying the food and learning about the Spanish culture, or you could
instead plan to make your holidays a little longer and rent a car so you
can tour Spain. The train system is also really good in Spain, so you
could choose to ride trains instead, to get to the different locations
planned in your tour. You should plan this ahead of time, though, to maximize
the experience and make your holiday hassle-free.
