Choosing
an camping to stay in Spain:
Many tourists decide to go “camping” to Spain. It will be
a totally different experience, as you will have more chances to interact
with nature than if you stayed at a hotel. It won’t be as comfortable
but Spain has lots of camping sites all over the country and they all
have water to drink, showers, bathrooms, and many of them also have other
amenities like swimming pools and restaurants. You probably won’t
find a camping site like the campgrounds you can find in the States sometimes.
A Spanish camp site will always be run by a company and will be surrounded
by a fence. They usually have lots of people during the summer that will
be camping right next to you, including teenagers having fun. I wouldn’t
want to discourage you from staying in a camping site, however, it’s
good to know its pros and cons. If you are a person that enjoys the outdoors,
that doesn’t necessarily look for privacy, and have a smaller budget,
camping might be the solution for you. There are beautiful sites where
the experience will be much different than in others, so it’s important
to make a good choice. Look for information online, or you can even take
the risk and book your camping spot once you’re already in the place.
That way you will be able to see where you’re going to stay…
or not.
Here are a couple of websites that will help you find camping sites in
Spain (Note that I haven’t used any of their services, so I can’t
say anything good or bad about them):
